polished animal working from home

There’s something quietly polished about this outfit, it feels put‑together without trying too hard. The top has that soft, structured ease that works in any season, and the navy shorts let you choose your own adventure. The leopard loafers bring a little personality, and the brown belt ties it all together. It’s the perfect “running errands but still cute” outfit, and the kind of combination you reach for again and again because it just works.

A few of these pieces are no longer available, so I’ve linked some similar pieces.

top

Forever New white sleeveless top with gold button detail

I bought this top over 10 years ago and it’s still going strong. The fabric is a light polyester and drapes really easily. I have worn this in both warm and cool climates and have stayed comfortable in both. The gold button details on the pockets adds a little interest.

Worth it? To still have this in my wardrobe 11 years later, I’d say yes, it’s worth the $49.99.

Cost per wear: $49.99 ÷ 20 wears = $2.50

shorts

Witchery Linen Short in navy

Linen shorts should be a staple in everyone’s summer wardrobe. These Witchery shorts are well structured, elevating them above a lazy weekend throw-on. They can easily be paired with a heel or a flip flop.

The colour is deep and has maintained through multiple washes. The length is very flattering. And there is no sign of pilling.

Worth it? Yes, I am really happy with this purchase.

Cost per wear: $129.95 x 9 wears = $14.43

loafers

Marcs tuxedo loafer in leopard

These shoes have been a slow burn. I have always loved the way they looked, but because they’re leather, they take a bit to break in. For the first five or six wears, they felt tight, but they stretched a little and fit well. The materials are high quality, solid leather, and pony skin.

The style of this loafer is classic and can be paired well with shorts, with straight leg pants and jeans.

Worth it? After they’ve been worn in, yes, I love these.

Cost per wear: $179.99 ÷ 10 wears = $17.99

belt

Status Anxiety “Nobody’s Fault” in Tan/Gold

This belt is the versatile workhorse you need and deserve. Trousers, jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts. It can be worn in many way. The gold buckle is sturdy and the structure is great.

I have this belt in black, as well, and it’s just as versatile.

Worth it? Yes, this high-quality leather belt is worth the price tag.

Cost per wear: $69.95 ÷ 17 wears = $4.11
