comfy work from home combo

This is what working from home actually looks like for me – comfortable, practical, but still feels put-together enough that I don’t feel like a total slob on Teams calls The beauty of these pieces is they’re light and breathable, which is crucial for those transitional autumn mornings that start cool but turn humid by lunchtime.

singlet

Rockwear Relaxed Flow Tank

This singlet has become my summer/autumn uniform. It’s one of those activewear pieces that doesn’t scream “activewear” – no loud logos, no technical-looking fabric, just a simple, comfortable top that happens to be designed for movement.

The fabric is soft and breathable, which is exactly what you want in humid environments. The sleeveless cut keeps me cool when the afternoon heat kicks in, and the relaxed fit means I’m not constantly adjusting it during the day.

Worth it? Yes, this singlet is very light, it’s comfy, it’s soft, it’s flattering. The fabric has held up with all the washes.

Cost per wear: $39.99 ÷ 9 wears = $4.44

bottoms

Petal & Pup “Hawthorn Pant” in beige

These pants are perfect for those tricky autumn mornings where you need coverage but don’t want to overheat by midday. The length is ideal – not quite full-length, but enough to keep my legs covered when it’s cool. The relaxed fit and detailed drawstring waist mean maximum comfort for sitting at a desk all day. For linen, these hold up against creasing fairly well.

Worth it? Absolutely. They’ve held up well, and continue to be flattering

Cost per wear: $59 ÷ 12 wears = $4.91

sandals

Birkinstock Arizona SFB Suede Leather in light rose

If you know Birkenstocks, you know the comfort is unmatched. These have the classic Birkenstock footbed that moulds to your feet over time, proper arch support (crucial when you’re standing at a desk or walking to the kitchen for your fifth coffee), and they go with absolutely everything. The rose suede is neutral enough to work with many colour palettes. I can wear these all day without my feet complaining, perfect for the ankle impingement.

Worth it? I would, and I have. I own five pairs of Birkinstock sandals. The sandals made of the natural fibres seem to last longer

Cost per wear: $174 ÷ 207 wears = $0.84

This outfit also works for:

  • Weekend errands or coffee runs
